    Fred Schroeder, Director of Golf

    Fred has been a PGA Member since 1989 and has been the Director of Golf at Beau Chêne Country Club since 1996. Fred is a former Louisiana P.G.A Professional of the Year (2000) along with Gulf States Section P.G.A. Professional of the Year (2005), and the 2006 Regional Ping Golf Club Fitter of the Year. He has served on many local committees that support and promote local Charities. Fred also served his Association as President of the P.G.A.Gulf States Section 2003-2004.

    As the Director of Golf Fred has been a promoter of junior golf, member golf tournaments, men's golf leagues, private and group lessons, as well as numerous charity golf tournaments.

    Fred is a native of South Louisiana and attended the University of New Orleans and Southeastern Louisiana. Fred and his wife of 24 years, Jennifer, have two sons, Gus and Jim.

    Andy Smith, Golf Professional

    Andy was born in Wolverhampton, England and in 1998 was awarded World Boys' Champion. In 2002 he was a member of the Palmer Cup Team (U.S. vs. Great Britain and Ireland) and graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2004 with a B.A. in Business Management. In 2006 and 2007 Andy was the Louisiana Chapter Assistants Champion and in 2007 Gulf States Assistant Player of the Year. Andy lives with his wife and daughter in Madisonville.

  • Edward ("Eddie") Cox, Golf Professional

    Eddie was born in Bedfordshire, England and in 2004 represented his country in the Home Internationals (playing against Scotland, Wales, and Ireland). Eddie made his way to Louisiana to play NCAA Golf at Southeastern Louisiana University from 2004-2008. He turned professional following his playing career at Southeastern, and has played on tours around the world including the EuroPro Tour, Hooters Tour, with 2 win’s to his credit!

    Ted Smith, Director of Agronomy

    Prior to coming to Beau Chene, Ted was the Director of Golf Maintenance and Landscape for Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia; a long time PGA and LPGA venue. In the winter of 2014, Ted moved to Mandeville with his wife and 3 children. Ted received a B.S. degree with a major in Crop and Soil Environmental Science/Turf Management from Virginia Tech.
